NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, a second-degree misdemeanor, after running into a vintage vehicle in Miami on Sunday.

At approximately 6:35PM, the Hialeah Police Department responded to a spun-out 1984 Ford van that was blocking the Palmetto Expressway, Lt. James Durden of the Florida Highway Patrol told TMZ.com Monday.

The driver said a white Cadillac Escalade clipped him and bolted from the scene. L.T., 50, was found about two miles down the road at the next exit. His SUV was missing its right front tire. He was immediately taken into custody.

The NFL legend — a 10-time Pro Bowl selection in his 13 pro seasons with the New York Giants — was recently a competitor on Dancing With the Stars, but has had numerous run-ins with the law over the years.

Taylor was arrested four times between 1996 and 1998 — twice for allegedly attempting to buy crack from an undercover cop, once for failing to pay child support, and a fourth time for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
