Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson had to wrap up last night’s tapingg by flashlight after 70mph winds knocked out power at CBS Television City in central Los Angeles, says show publicist Katie Barker.

Scattered power outages were reported all over the Los Angeles region Tuesday night, and the blackout ultimately made its way to the Late Late Show as the lights suddenly went black at approximately 5:45PM, just as Ferguson was interviewing actress Alicia Silverstone.

Producers decided to keep the blackout as part of the show and handed Fergie a flashlight.
