Last ‘Star Wars’ Trailer Stuns, Reveals More Plot Details [WATCH]

Last night, the world was gifted with the third and final trailer for this December’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This movie has been long anticipated, and the final trailer definitely did not disappoint.

While this trailer is much like the others—light on plot details—this trailer reveals more than ever before. Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) feature prominently. Viewers see snippets of the new villain Kylo Ren speaking directly to the mangled remains of Darth Vader’s helmet, saying, “I will finish what you started.”

But the undisputed best part of the trailer was when Han Solo spoke directly to the newcomers, informing them that all the stories, legends, and hearsay are true. It was an iconic moment that gave me chills:

“It’s true. All of it. The Dark Side. The Jedi. They’re real.”

And no, there’s still no Luke Skywalker, but I’m okay with that if it leads to an even better, more intense cinematic reveal. The entire Star Wars story hinges on Luke, so keeping him hidden from the trailers makes the audience even more excited to finally see him on opening night.

The trailer premiered during Monday Night Football; following the premiere, tickets for the movie went immediately on sale. And if you want to catch up on all the previous six installments of the Star Wars franchise immediately before seeing Episode VII in 3D, you can also buy tickets for The Star Wars Marathon Event, taking place on December 17th and ending with some of the first screenings of The Force Awakens. Sign me up, please!
