Amy Winehouse is at the center of a bitter bidding war between American television personalities Larry King and Oprah Winfrey. Both small screen veterans are desperate to snag an exclusive interview with the Grammy Award-winning Winehouse, where conversation about the entertainer’s penchant for self-cutting and crack smoking will certainly take precedence.
Larry King has been bombarding Amy’s people with requests to get her on his CNN show, Larry King Live, while Oprah Winfrey has made similar enquiries.
Larry recently sent a memo to Amy’s office, which read:
“I would love to have Amy on - as soon as she is well and ready.”
