Larry King and his wife Shawn Southwick have called off their divorce.

The host of CNN’s Larry King Live has moved back into the family’s suburban L.A. home and agreed to work on his marriage — despite a headline-snatching cheating scandal that linked Shawn to her sons’ baseball coach while Larry was accused of bedding his wife’s own sister.

Water under the bridge, the couple says. Here’s the joint statement Larry and Shawn released to the press early Wednesday:

“We love our children, we love each other, we love being a family. That is all that matters to us. We owe it to ourselves and our children to continue being dedicated to each other. We want to thank our friends for their loyal love and support – for being there for us.”

Perhaps we should mention that Shawn stood to gain 50% of Larry’s multimillion fortune in the now defunct divorce. King — who has been married seven times — didn’t demand that the leggy blonde sign a prenup before he married her in a Los Angeles hospital room in 1997.

That sounds like a pretty compelling reason to reconcile!
