Lance Armstrong Surgery Twitter Updates
Lance Armstrong underwent clavicle surgery on Wednesday–and he Tweeted every step of the way.
On Monday, Lance fell off of his bike and was injured following a cyclists’ pile-up in the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon race in Spain.
“I’m alive! Broken clavicle (right). Hurts like hell for now. Surgery in a couple of days. Thanks for all the well wishes,” the Tour de France champ later Tweeted.
Early Wednesday, Lance logged on to the social networking site again, where he kept fans abreast durig a CT scan.
“About to head in. See y’all in a few. Livestrong,” he wrote on his Twitter page on Wednesday morning, posting a picture of himself in the hospital.
Lance is now recuperating from the three-hour surgery on his collarbone, whic was broken in four pieces and stabilized with a steel plate and 12 screws, his surgeon tells the Associated Press.
