Lady Gaga is officially the “most followed” woman on the Planet.
Mother Monster can now claim the title of Twitter Queen thanks to her daily updates, which includes links to videos and music. The 25-year-old has 20 million followers tuned into her @ladygaga Twitter account. The singer reached the microblogging milestone over the weekend.
Gaga joined Twitter on March 26, 2008. In August 2010, she overtook Britney Spears to become the most followed Tweeter in the world.
The “Paparazzi” singer often uses her account to announce benefits for her beloved “Little Monsters.” In December, Gaga revealed she was going to make a free download of an unreleased track available as a Christmas present to her fans.
Gaga’s nearest competitor is teen crooner Justin Bieber, who languishes behind with just over 18 million followers. Katy Perry, Shakira and Rihanna round out the Top 5.
