At this weekend’s iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Lady Gaga performed an emotional rendition of her song “Hair,” and dedicated it to the memory of Jamey Rodemeyer.
Rodemeyer was only 14 when he committed suicide last Sunday outside his home in New York State. The teen had recorded several online videos in which he said he was relentlessly bullied for being gay.
He was also a big Gaga fan, saying in one of his videos, “Lady Gaga, she makes me so happy, and she lets me know that I was born this way.”
On Saturday night, Mother Monster said bullying is for “losers” and performed “Hair” as photos of Rodemeyer flashed on the giant screen over her head.
