From taunted teen to Vogue covergirl. Eat your hearts out, bullies.
In the greatest living testament yet for the “It Gets Better” Campaign, on Saturday afternoon, pop star Lady Gaga unveiled a grainy sneak peek at her upcoming inaugural appearance on the March 2011 issue of American Fashion Bible Vogue Magazine. A victory for Little Monster from Coast-to-Coast, the cover spot is especially gratifying for Gaga herself, who was often teased for her looks during her days as a parochial schoolgirl in Manhattan.
“They used to call me rabbit teeth in school. And now I’m a real live VOGUE BEAUTY QUEEN!” Lady Gaga Tweeted, linking to picture of her upcoming Vogue cover.
The “Poker Face” singer — who is nominated for six Grammy Awards — rocks a pink bob, bleached brows, and shocking purple lipcolor on the cover, which hits newsstands Stateside this Tuesday.
February is on course to be a busy month for the innovative crooner: Lady Gaga will debut her highly anticipated single, “Born This Way,” in a performance at this month’s 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. Her album of the same name drops May 23.
