Sure, she’s a pop phenomenon in a meat dress. But isn’t it a bit early for a Lady Gaga biopic?

Not according to to The Television Gods over at Lifetime.

The femme-friendly network behind a-many-a made-for-TV drama is hoping to secure the rights their next Ripped-From-the-Headlines original movie — a film about the life of Grammy winner Stefani “Lady Gaga” Germanotta. The proposed TV movie, titled Fame Monster: The Lady Gaga Story, would be based on Maureen Callahan’s 2010 tome Poker Face: The Rise And Rise Of Lady Gaga and would follow the “Alejandro” star’s transformation from a Manhattanite from a close Italian family to her explosion on the dance charts in 2008.

Any suggestions on who we should tap to play Mother Monster? Lea Michele, Leighton Meester, Taylor Momsen?!
