‘Sex and the City’ Star Kristin Davis Adopts Daughter
In a case of life imitating art, Sex and the City‘s Kristin Davis has adopted a little girl — just like her most famous alter-ego, Charlotte York-Goldenblatt.
On Friday, Davis, the Southern Belle best known for her work on TV’s Melrose Place and Sex and the City, revealed that she welcomed daughter Gemma Rose Davis through domestic adoption earlier this year.
“This is something I have wanted for a very long time. Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed,” Davis told PEOPLE.com on Friday.
She did not say exactly when the adoption took place or how old the child is.
As devoted SATC fans will recall, Kristin’s character Charlotte and husband Harry adopted Lily, a daughter from China, on the series finale of the hit HBO series.
The first time mom’s next film, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, hits theaters in February.
