The former Laguna Beach star talks about her upcoming role on the The Hills as Lauren Conrad prepares to depart the show.
Kristin — best known for her public rivalry with the exiting Hills starlet — says she couldn’t be more eager to take over lead duties from LC on MTV’s popular unscripted drama.
“I’m actually kind of excited. It’s fun because I know the whole crew. It’s almost like going home. It’s really comfortable. I know what to expect going into it, so I think I’m just more excited than anything.”

The blind items have it on good authority that she was hooking to pay the bills once she realized she was going nowhere after she left Laguna Beach. Her head got too big before she realized that reality TV is all she has!

Seriously? Hooking to pay the bills? Whatever. Kristin has been working, even if the movies she’s done haven’t been all that great, she still got out there and tried, and I give her a lot of credit for that. She could have just ridden the MTV gravy train all this time, like others did. She’s going into the Hills as another career oppertunity, and she’s already confirmed what the world has known for ages, that the show is scripted, and fake. She’s going to have some fun, and earn some money while she’s doing it. Nothing wrong with that.
Besides, even if she hadn’t been making movies, modeling, and doing ad campaigns to make a living, she comes from a very wealthy family, and has trust funds. She wouldn’t ever need to “hook” to pay her bills. That’s total crap.
