Kristen Stewart’s got a fashionable new gig.
Chanel has named the Twilight actress the face of its upcoming ad campaign. Hardly a surprise, after all, Stewart is regularly spotted at Chanel shows and wearing the brand’s designs on the red carpet. She joins a Chanel celebrity lineup that includes Blake Lively, Keira Knightley and Diane Kruger.
Kristen will be representing the 2013/14 Metiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection. The campaign, to debut in 2014, will be shot by the world’s most fashionable cat lover, Chanel artistic director Karl Lagerfeld.
For those of you who aren’t up on your fashion terms, “Metiers d’Art” is a term adopted by Lagerfeld and refers to “the skills of art” that go into creating the brand’s yearly pre-fall collection and runway show. Each year models walk a runway in a surprise location always in a city outside of Paris as an homage to the story of Chanel’s founder, Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel.
