It’s been a rough 12 months for the entire Kardashian clan — and Khloe, in particular, has taken quite the public bashing.
But if you thought 2013 was a disastrous year for the soon-to-be former Mrs. Lamar Odom, take a gander at 1993. That was the year a then 9-year-old Khloe overheard mom Kris Jenner telling a friend that the child could seriously use a round of rhinoplasty.
(That’s a nose job, for the cosmetic surgery-challenged.)
Kardashian, 29, says in the February 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan UK’s:
“Words are the most powerful weapon; they can leave scars forever. She didn’t mean harm, but when I was around nine I overheard my mom telling her friend I needed a nose job. I was shocked; I hadn’t even thought about it. I’ve grown into my face, but I’ve had makeup artists tell me, ‘You should get a nose job.’ I’m so happy that I never have.”
Not that she’s necessarily anti-nip/tuck, as she later explained:
“I’m proud for losing weight when I wanted to and I’ve never resorted to surgery. I’m not against it — one day I probably will, but it would be on my terms. I won’t be bullied into it by social media or anyone else.”
Ever the eternal optimist, Khloe added:
“I don’t regret anything about my life. My life has made me who I am at this moment and I’m very happy with who I am. No matter if it’s great, disgusting, beautiful or ugly; it happens and it makes you you. Life is about how you process things.”
