Kirstie Alley Had Emotional Affair with Patrick Swayze

Formerly Fat Actress Kirstie Alley is opening up about her secret affair with late screen star Patrick Swayze.

Alley is spilling the beans on the intimate details of what she says was a powerful attraction and hidden relationship with her North and South co-star. Both stars were married during filming of the 1985 television mini-series.

Alley, 61, tells Entertainment Tonight’s Chris Jacobs that she and Swayze had an intense attraction from the first time they met. She says they tried to avoid “going down that road,” but they ultimately fell in love.

“Both of us were married. We did not have an affair. But again, I think what I did was worse. Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you’re married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It’s doubly bad.”

Alley remains friends with Patrick’s wife of more than 30 years, Lisa Niemi — who asked the actress to speak at Swayze’s funeral in 2009. She’s not sure if Niemi is aware of the true nature of her relationship with Patrick.

Just last week, Kirstie revealed that she fell in love with another of her male leads during her turbulent marriage to actor Parker Stevenson. Alley fell hard for John Travolta when the duo shared the silver screen in the 1989 comedy Look Who’s Talking.
