ESPN College football analyst, Kirk Herbstreit, extended his current deal with ESPN and ABC today.
The former Ohio State University quarterback has been with the network for the last 17 years, since graduation from OSU. John Wildhack, ESPN executive vice president, production, said,”Kirk Herbstreit is synonymous with college football’s biggest stage and moments. He is at the top of his game and he’s ours into the next decade. We’re thrilled.”
Herbie will continue his role on ESPNs College GameDay, his analyst work on the Saturday night game of the week with legendary voice, Brent Musburger and will be adding some radio time to his week. Kirk will join popular ESPNRadio host, Colin Cowherd every Tuesday on College Football Live, the network’s daily afternoon college football show.
“I’ve always felt that ESPN and ABC are the home of college football and even more so now that they have the College Football Playoff for 12 years,” Herbstreit said in a statement. “Considering the opportunities that lay ahead and the great people I get to work with every day, it was an easy decision to stay with the company that gave me my start.”
