Kim Kardashian Twitter Payday: Reality Star Paid $10,000 Per Tweet?
A Tweet from Kim Kardashian is worth 10,000 smacks, if a new report from London’s Daily Mail is to be believed. The stunning brunette may have begun her career in showbiz courtesy of a salacious sex tape, but the former Hilton hanger-on has shot to such acclaim in Hollywood circles she now commands a whopping $10,000 per Tweet, The Mail reported this week.
Kardashian, star of E!’s hit reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians, has a contract with in-stream advertising company Ad.ly and earns big money for endorsing products through the web’s most popular microblogging site. Kim, 29, has attracted 2 million followers on Twitter since joining the service earlier this year. She is the highest earner on the company’s books and the most popular on their roster of celebrity tweeters — which also includes former reality starlet Lauren Conrad — tipsters tattle.
It is believed some of Kardashian’s advertisers include Reebok EasyTone and fast food chain Carl’s Jr — who recently featured the star in an ad for their new line of salads. Kim often mentions products from both companies, in fact out of 30 tweets on her page, five mention products from either company.
Kim currently producing a new TV show and will launch a new line of footwear in 2010.
