Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are allegedly going to great lengths to ensure the safety of their one-year-old daughter, North.
Word on the Curb (The Mirror, to be specific) has it that Mr. and Mrs. West have forked over $500,000 on a body double for young North, as well as a doppelganger to play her nanny. It’s all part of Kim and Kanye’s bid to protect the tot from the roving glare of paparazzi snappers. Additionally, Mommy and Daddy reportedly fear that their immense wealth (that’s putting it mildly) could make North a lucrative target for would-be kidnappers. After all, Kim’s recently released app, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, has earned more than $85 million in its first month of release.
The couple reportedly held tryouts for the stand-in child in Los Angeles earlier this month. Kanye got the idea after learning that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had done something similar shortly after the birth of their daughter Suri in 2006. Cruise reportedly hired a body double for his daughter amid paparazzi attention and kidnapping concerns.
