Kiefer Sutherland will receive Harvard University’s 2013 Hasty Pudding Man of the Year prize.
Hasty Pudding Theatricals is the oldest undergraduate drama troupe in the nation. The Pudding has been handing out Woman and Man of the Year Awards since 1951. Each year, the legendary award is given to a pair of entertainers — one male, one female — who have made a “lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment.”
A bit of a Hollywood bad boy, Kiefer is perhaps best known for his award-winning role as Jack Bauer on 24. He is currently starring in TV’s Touch.
Sutherland, 46, will be roasted and receive the ceremonial pudding pot at a ceremony and parade in Cambridge scheduled for this Friday. Hasty’s 2013 Woman of the Year, Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, was honored last weekend.
