Kid Cudi Punch Victim Will Not Press Charges
A Canadian man who claims he was punched in the face by up and coming hip-hop star Kid Cudi at a concert in Vancouver last Friday night has decided not to press charges against the rapper.
The rapper was performing at Canada’s Commodore Ballroom last Friday when an audience member tossed a wallet onto the stage. Cudi threw it back but moments later the item landed at his feet once again. A livid Cudi – real name Scott Mescudi – then leapt off stage, sprinted into the crowed, and sucker-punched concertgoer Michael Sharpe in the face before being dragged away by security.
Sharpe tells TMZ.com he was hit in the face after he threw the wallet back on stage because it didn’t belong to him, but the college student says he has no plans to take legal action against the rapper.
“I’m not upset, I’m not going to be that person. I just want to meet him and be like ‘I’m the guy you punched.’ I’m not going to press charges.”
