“Khloe & Lamar” E! Reality Show Going Into Production Later This Year
Bad news for Reality Stans who’ve had all they can stand of The Kardashian Clan: The celebrity twosome known as Khlomar are bringing their snap-happy love story to the small screen — sans their famous family — in the latest spinoff of the E! reality smash Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
On Wednesday, the network confirmed that socialite Khloe Kardashian and Lakers hoopster Lamar Odom, who wed after a month-long romance in Sept. 2009, are getting their own reality show. Eight episodes of the show, tentatively titled Khloe & Lamar, will be produced and shot by Keeping Up producer Ryan Seacrest and Bunim-Murray Productions later this year.
In a move reminiscent of MTV’s wildly-popular docu-series Nick & Jessica: Newlyweds, Khloe & Lamar will follow the newlyweds and their life together in sunny Calabasas. They’ll also be cameos by Khloe’s brother, Rob, who is living with the couple as he tries to get his career as a music manager off the grounds. Cameras will even follow Lamar as he goes on the road with the Lakers.
“Khloe and Lamar are such a dynamic couple that we just knew we had to give them their own series,” E!’s Executive Vice-President of Programming Lisa Berger remarked in a statement.
Khloe certainly sounds pumped about the prospect of adding more zeros to her bank account. And of course, there’s the fact that she remains the lone married Kardashian Sister. That’s always good for a smile.
“Ok dolls, it’s official! Lamar and I will soon begin filming our very own show on E! called Khloe & Lamar! WOOOOHOOOOOOOO! How exciting is this?! It’s been an option since we got married, but we wanted to enjoy our first year in private. With Keeping Up with the Kardashians, only a very small part of our life together is shown, but with this show, we’re putting it ALL out there LOL. Rob will play a major role in this too since he lives with us. He’s basically like our son LOL. With the three of us living together, it’s honestly like a sitcom. Trust me, there will be a lot of laughs. Lamar and I could not be more thrilled about this. It’s show time baby!!!!.”
