Keshia Knight Pulliam Discusses ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ And Bill Cosby Debate

Celebrity Apprentice aired last night where The Cosby Show‘s Keisha Knight-Pulliam from Team Infinity, was sadly the first to go home.

As project manager, she needed to make sure that her team got in contact with enough of their high roller friends who would donate money for their fund raiser task this week. And that is where Keshia went wrong. Everyone thought that she herself would bring in tons of money because of her connection with Bill Cosby, a connection that we later find out has become none existent. Everyone was shocked that Pulliam never contacted Cosby and Donald Trump was disappointed enough to even fire her.

This episode was tapped before the whole Bill Cosby sexual assault scandal was made public. Watching the episode we wonder if her lack of communication with Cosby was due to her knowledge of Cosby’s scandalous private life.

When asked by Trump why she didn’t call her famous TV dad, who is known for his charitable donations and efforts, for some money for her teams fund raiser, she replied,

“I have not talked to Bill Cosby on the phone in I don’t know how long. For me to pick up the phone having not talked to you for five years, except for when we run into each other for a Cosby event, I feel that’s not my place to do.”

Trump reacting by calling Pulliam “amazing person” but that her lack of contact with Cosby was a fatal business flaw. “You didn’t make one call that I really believe that if you’d called that gentleman he would have helped you, even if you hadn’t spoken to him in years.”

Pulliman appeared on the ‘Today’ show this morning to address her elimination as well as the whole Bill Cosby sexual assault allegations.

“I know ‘The Cosby Show’ is in reruns, and everyone assumes that we’re this family that has dinner every Friday night. But the reality was I hadn’t spoken to Mr. Cosby. I felt that it would be tactless, very rude to call someone and be like, ‘Hey, so, let me have some money right now.”

Regarding the allegations, Pulliam said ultimately can’t speak to what has happened.

What I can say is this: I wasn’t there. No one was there except for the two people who know exactly what happened. All I can speak to is the man that I know and I love. The fact that he’s been such as example, you can’t take away from the great that he has done. You know, the amount, the millions and millions of dollars that he has given back to colleges and education, and just what he did with’The Cosby Show’ and how groundbreaking that was… Ultimately, they’re just that, allegations. You know, it’s very much been played out in the court of public opinion. But we’re still in America, where ultimately you’re innocent until proven guilty. I wasn’t there. That’s just not the man I know. So I can’t speak to it.

I watched Celebrity Apprentice last night and being a huge fan of The Cosby Show, it was so amazing to see Keisha Knight-Pulliam, and I think she did an amazing job.  Although it would have been awesome for her to call Bill Cosby and have his voice on the show, hearing the reason why she didn’t call him was completely understandable. I think sometimes people don’t  realize that just because you’re on a show together doesn’t mean you’re close in real life. Especially, if your show has been off the air for years.

I think Donald Trump put too much pressure and a huge expectations on Pulliam. It takes real balls and some nerve to call someone you haven’t seen in a long time, who is trying to stay out of the media, and ask them for thousands and thousands of dollars. I think he was way out of line.
