Kenny Chesney lends support for Music and Memory
Country Music Superstar, Kenny Chesney, is lending his support for an extraordinary new organization.
The Back Where I Come From crooner, has filmed a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for the Music and Memory Foundation. The program matches patients suffering from Alzheimer’s with ipods, filled with music from their past.
The program is currently accepting donations of volunteers and even old iPods to use. “We train nursing home staff and other elder care professionals, as well as family caregivers, how to create and provide personalized playlists using iPods and related digital audio systems that enable those struggling with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other cognitive and physical challenges to reconnect with the world through music-triggered memories,” the groups official website states.
