Kendall Jenner Makes Blink-and-You’ll-Miss-It Debut in Givenchy Fall Ad Campaign
Kendall Jenner’s star in the fashion world has risen almost as high as the splits she wears on the red carpet.
The 18-year-old celebuspawn does her best “Resting Bitch Face” (Smiles, people!) in a pair of moody new ads for Givenchy’s Fall/Winter collection. It’s the lanky model’s first high fashion ad campaign; coming on the heels of a year filled with red carpet homeruns and notable catwalker appearances for the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star.
Jenner appears on the bottom left side of the first released photo, shot by shutterbug duo Mert and Marcus. The raven-haired California girl is almost unrecognizable, adorned in ebony-toned lipstick and smokey eyes.
But, make no mistake, it’s Kendall. Givenchy confirmed as much in a chat with Fashionista.com, shortly after the image arrived online Tuesday. Fash fans can expect to see Kendall in additional ads touting the designer’s fall collection in the months to come.
And she’s not the only famous offspring to appear in the ad: Peter Brant II — the son of Peter Brant and supermodel Stephanie Seymour — also makes an appearance. He’s second from the left.
Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci is a noted friend of the Kardashians. He designed Kim’s dress for her May wedding to rapper Kanye West.
A heavily-pregnant Kim also wore the designer to the 2013 Met Gala. The long-sleeved floral frock, perhaps best remembered as “The Cabbage Leaf Sofa Dress,” being one of her most heckled looks ever.
