Bruce Jenner’s transition from male to female has been quite hard on his entire family, but yesterday a quote from his daughter Kendall made it sound like everything was A-okay with the former Olympian.
She was caught backstage at the Comedy Central Roast of her friend Justin Bieber and she gave some words of wisdom with regard to her father’s changes. She reportedly told those on hand covering the event: “I love my dad. He’s always been there for me and my sisters. He’s a wonderful man. And just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he’s a man or a woman.”
Us Weekly attributed the quotes to Kendall Jenner, but now she is calling them out for being liars. As many of you know, the entire Kardashian and Jenner clans have been keeping mum on the subject of Bruce Jenner’s transition. Kim Kardashian opened her mouth, but only to say that Bruce would share his journey whenever he was ready – and that was it. None of them have addressed it beyond that – and we thought that Kendall was breaking the mold by speaking out in support of her father. That is NOT the case.
Kendall took to Twitter to ask her many followers about the legality of what Us Weekly did when supposedly quoting her. She tweeted, “how is it legal for someone to “quote” someone and publish it if in fact you never said what was quoted.”
Then, she shared, “Shame on US Weekly for making up quotes. I NEVER said those things. I never spoke to them.”
I have to wonder if she is planning on waging a lawsuit against the tabloid for their publishing quotes that she didn’t even give. Perhaps they will issue a retraction in small print in an upcoming issue?
TELL US: Should she sue so that this doesn’t happen again?
