Former American Idol Kelly Clarkson is singing the praises of Scottish songbird Susan Boyle.

The dowdy 47-year-old church volunteer with a powerful voice became an overnight Internet sensation after her performance on the UK talent show Britain’s Got Talent was posted on YouTube. Susan’s now infamous rendition of “I Dreamed A Dream” from the musical Les Miserables was love at first listen for the multiplatinum-selling Clarkson.

“I think it’s awesome. I’m bawling whenever I hear her sing,” Kelly told The Associated Press while promoting her latest album in Hong Kong on Tuesday.
