Kellie Pickler Vegetarian
Pickler’s turning her back on meat.
Carrie Underwood is mentoring fellow former American Idol Kellie Pickler on living as a vegetarian.
“We have this little vegetarian thing going on. I’ll text [Carrie] and be like, ‘Is fish considered a meat?’ And she’ll be like, ‘Well, different people look at it differently.’”
Inspired by health reasons and her compassion for animals, Kellie tells PEOPLE Magazine that she has been living a meat-free lifestyle for the past five months.
“I saw all the videos and I just thought it was horrible. It’s animal cruelty. A lot of it has to do with knowing what happens to the animals and it really bothered me and so I will not eat meat.”
