Keira Knightley, Nicole Kidman, Amy Winehouse Up For Role Of Dusty Springfield
Keira Knightley, Nicole Kidman, and controversial singer Amy Winehouse are being considered to play ’60s icon Dusty Springfield in a proposed biopic about her life, tenatively titled Dusty.

Produced by husband-and-wife producer team Stephen Woolley and Elizabeth Karlsen of London-based Number9 Films, shooting for the film could begin late next year.
“Playing Dusty would be a dream role and there is sure to be fierce competition to land the part,” a tipster tattles to The Daily Express. According to insiders, the film would “almost certainly” explore the “complicated private life” of the bisexual singer, who died from breast cancer in 1999 at 59.
Springfield enjoyed a string of hits, such as “I Only Want To Be With You” and “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,” during the British Music Invasions of the 1960s.
