I was horrified to see they Bought the puppies. As kind as the mom seems with other animals I don't understand why she would buy a puppy from a pet store. Maybe she doesn't know about the puppy mills that are in all of our states. The laws that don't protect the poor inocent animals that the puppy mills crank out. They have no feelings for these animals except dollar sighns. Most are not fed or watered on a regular basis, they are kept in tiny wire cages that cut and damage there feet. They have to sleep in their own waste because no one cares about the Breeder dogs. And the Breeders could care less about breeding healthy and happy babies. Most of these dogs have genetic problems and shouldn't even be bread. It is a common practice among these breeders to ram a metal rod down the throats of the dogs to rupture their vocal cords so they can no longer bark. They are not given any medical attention when they have open sores or are sick. I pray that the mom will see this and at least read about some of this. People seeing her BUYING a puppy from a Pet store will think it is ok for them to do it. It is NOT ok because we are then creating a market for these people. Buy from a breeder if you must have a puppy and go to the breeders home and ask to see his dogs. If they are reputable they will show you. I am a foster mom for a rescue group. There are so many dogs of all breeds, pure breds and mutts that need a second chance in life. I have two rescues and they are a blessing and I feel I am to them also.
