Katy Perry Will Host ‘SNL’ Dec. 10

Live from New York, it’s Katy Perry! Look for the pop phenom to make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut in an installment of the NBC sketch comedy hit that will air on Dec. 10.

Of course, this isn’t Katy’s first appearance on SNL. She joined special guest host Amy Poehler as a musical guest on the premiere of the show’s 37th season back in Sept. 2010.
The last time KP tickled funnybones at the real-life 30 Rock, she dropped by for a special guest spot in a skit that poked fun at her ill-fated experience on other small screen classic. In 2010, a Sesame Street sing-a-long featuring the “Firework” hitmaker was scrapped after producers feared mass hysteria over Katy’s attire — a low-cut top, which revealed the singer’s ample cleavage.

As MTV.com points out, “Perry joins a list of musicians who have also hosted SNL, including Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Ludacris, Paul Simon, Queen Latifah and Sting.”
