Katy Perry was left redfaced at France’s NRJ Awards this weekend when she was was handed the “Best International Song” trophy only to later discover that she had been given the award by mistake.

Midway through the show, host Nikos Aliagas announced that there had been a mistake in the vote-counting and pop sensation Rihanna was in fact the real winner for her international smash “Disturbia.”

Katy was forced to give back the trophy. But on the upside, the “Hot N’ Cold” hitmaker did take home the gong for “Best International Album.”
