Breakout singer Katy Perry will cover Madonna’s 80s smash “Like A Virgin” during a live performance at the 25th Annual MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. Host Russell Brand revealed the news at a press conference for the big night at Paramount Studios in Hollywood this afternoon.

Those of you old enough (Just Kidding), may recall Madonna’s legendary performance of the single in her opening performance at the very first VMAs in 1984.
