Katy Perry is accused of snubbing a fashion designer who shares her name.

In May, lawyers for the Grammy-nominated hitmaker demanded that Katie Perry, who owns an Australian clothing label, withdraw her trademark application because confusion and “unjust enrichment” could occur over the similarities between the designer’s name and Katy’s — whose given name is Kathryn Elizabeth Hudson.

However, the singer dropped the case just hours before it was set to be presented before a judge. Katie tried to make nice with the other Katy after their name-branding suit was dropped, but claims she was snubbed by the artist.

“Katie wanted to meet Ms Hudson, let her know there’s no hard feelings and give her a few of her garments to make peace and extend the proverbial olive branch,” Katie Perry’s agent, Nicholas Karandonis, told The Herald Sun on Monday.

Karandonis believes the singer set a bad example for her teenage fans by not agreeing to meet Katie Perry.

“But Ms Hudson, through her record company EMI, rejected the offer on the grounds she was pressed for time. She didn’t even have the five minutes or so that would have seen them meet and exchange pleasantries,” he added.
