A failure to conceive may not be the only trouble on the horizon for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The acting vet has become worried about his twenty-nine year old wifey’s penchant for big spending. Tom’s eyebrows were especially raised after Katie plopped down $100,000 during a three hour Neiman Marcus shopping spree on December 15th.

“Nicole [Kidman] was a shopper, but Katie is a professional. Katie could outspend Nicole without even trying,” a source tells In Touch Weekly. “Katie never met a store she didn’t like. She could find something to buy at the North Pole.”

“She drops thousands of dollars each time she goes to a store. Tom thinks it’s getting over the top. He doesn’t want her shopping to lead to fights between them. Katie wasn’t like this when she first started dating Tom.”

“She used to buy her clothes at the Gap. But now she’s rarely caught in the same thing twice, no matter how much it costs.”
