Soon-to-be divorcee Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri Cruise were being shuttled around New York City Monday night when a garbage truck sideswiped their black Mercedes.
Katie and Suri had just left the Chelsea Piers recreational center near their new Manhattan apartment when the garbage truck struck the Mercedes while attempting a turn, People magazine reports.
A spywitness said:
“Suri was crying in the car.”
Officials with New York Police Department have confirmed that there were no injuries and only minor damage was done to one side of the car. The mother-daughter duo had a driver and were reportedly the only passengers in the car.
It was the second minor traffic incident for Katie and Suri in recent days. Last Friday, a car carrying paparazzi hit their vehicle as they pulled out of FAO Schwarz toy store in Manhattan.
