Kathy Hilton is urging Paris Hilton to stay away from dating, insisting her heiress spawn needs “time” to heal following her split from Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden.

Benji and Paris called it quits last November after nine months of dating.

Paris is now rumoured to be “making a little time” for The Hills’ Doug Reinhardt, who previously dated actress Amanda Bynes.

The socialite’s mom, on the other hand, insists her oldest daughter spend a few months without a boyfriend so she can learn to enjoy life as a single woman.

Kathy told Fox News on Wednesday, “My dating advice for Paris would be just to take your time. It is okay to be alone; you don’t have to always be with someone.”
