Kathy Griffin Quits ‘Fashion Police’ – Find Out Why!

Kathy Griffin has followed Kelly Osbourne’s lead and has jumped ship from Fashion Police! Are you shocked by her decision to leave the show?

Just recently, Osbourne left the show because of some comments that Giuliana Rancic made about Zendaya Coleman’s hair at a recent event. It was only then that it was revealed that Osbourne revealed that she hadn’t been happy on the show since Joan Rivers’ untimely death.

Now, Kathy Griffin has also revealed that she is saying goodbye to the show – after only filming seven episodes. She took to her Twitter account to discuss her reasoning behind her departure, but it all boils down to the show being too mean for her liking. Go feminism!

She shared a picture which contained her official statement on the matter – read it in full below:

Kathy Griffin left the show because of its attacks on the bodies of women celebrities. She does make some good points and while some have said that the show should have died when Joan Rivers passed, she tried to make it her own, but was unable to do so and feel right about it.

All in all, Griffin is a good comedienne with a penchant for bringing the funny. It’s a shame that the show wasn’t a good fit. Despite that, Kelly Osbourne has said that she is proud of Griffin for leaving the show. Osbourne shared the below photo on social media:

E! confirmed Kathy Griffin’s exit from the show in a statement made to Us Weekly. They said, “We wish her all the best and are grateful for her time on the show, as well as the many laughs that she gave us all. Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Monday, March 30 at 9 p.m. with our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski and Executive Producer Melissa Rivers.”
