Katherine Heigl Wants To Remain On “Grey’s Anatomy”
Katherine Heigl is getting candid about her future on Grey’s Anatomy.
Will she stay or will she go?
Her character Dr. Izzie Stevens is suffering from terminal cancer. On Thursday night’s episode, Izzie was seen surviving brain surgery, but Katherine says she’s not sure how her storyline ends, adding that character’s fate is in the hands of series creator Shonda Rhimes.
There has long been speculation that Heigl is eager to leave the show to do films full-time. Not so, says the Knocked Up actress. Katherine believes she’s been lucky to have the chance to balance a career in both television and film–and she’s happy to continue doing so.
“I don’t know if I live or die. I don’t know how Izzie fares,” Katherine told The Associated Press on Friday. But If Izzie does survive, “I’m there….The “Grey’s” set is “one of my favorite places to be,” she added.
