Katherine Heigl wants out of Seattle Grace, according to a new report from The National Enquirer. After starring in box office hits Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, the blonde newlywed, is condfident that she has outgrown her role as Dr. Izzie Stevens on the Emmy Award-winning series Grey’s Anatomy. Katherine has turned her focus to building a full-time film career. Katherine has publicly complained about the storyline slump that plagued the current season of Grey’s, and now the star is desperate to wiggle her way out of the two years still left on her contract.
“Katherine has suggested to Grey’s producers that they kill her character Dr. Izzie Stevens in dramatic fashion so her exit could bring in huge ratings,” a friend of the Emmy-winner snitches to the Enquirer.
But spies close to Kat don’t expect Touchstone Television and ABC to let the actress go without a fight, claiming Kat’s battle to leave the operating room could land her in the courtroom:
“If the show doesn’t let her go, Katherine has prepared herself for an ugly legal battle.”

I dont want Katherine Heigl to leave Grey’s Anatomy. I love her as Izzie. She is very good as Izzie and I and hoards of Lexzie fans have been waitng for their reunion for a long time. If she MUST go, I hope she will be re-united with Alex first and then she can exit the show and go on to be the amazing star that I am betting her to be.
