People Magazine is confirming earlier tabloid reports of impending marriage for American Idol Katharine McPhee. The twenty-three year old songstress is reportedly officially engaged to marry forty-two year old actor Nick Cokas. The couple have been dating for over two years.

“Katharine is bubbling over with excitement for her upcoming wedding,” a source says. “She is all smiles when she talks about the planning. It sounds like everything is going very smoothly.”

“He took me up to my San Francisco (Idol) audition,” Katharine has said of Nick.. That’s when their relationship blossomed. “We totally fell in love,” she said.
