Uh-oh: Kate Middleton’s stripper cousin is about to stir up even more unwanted press for Britain’s Royal Family.
On Wednesday, a representative for Playboy magazine confirmed that burlesque dancer Katrina Darling — a second cousin of the Duchess of Cambridge — will appear on the cover of the September 2012 edition of the iconic men’s mag. The issue, which will arrive on newsstands Aug. 17, will also feature an eight-page pictorial of the royal relative.
Darling quit her job in banking earlier this year to become a full-time burlesque dancer. She is known across the pond for her her trademark Sex Pistols/royal-inspired act nude routine to the tune of the British national anthem, “God Save the Queen.”
Her burlesque career has flourished since she discovered that she was a distant relative of the new British royal last summer. Now a reality show about her life on the road — as well as a clothing line — is currently in the works.
