Jon & Kate Plus 8’s Kate Gosselin has responded to her estranged husband’s attempt to halt production of the family’s TLC show — less than a week after his airtime was cut and his name was stripped from the title.

On Tuesday, Jon’s attorney sent the network a letter stating that filming of the reality show was banned from the family’s home. Jon — who insists he’s not acting out of spite after being fired — also posted a sign on the gate of the Pennsylvania estate prohibitng camera crews from entering the home.

The sign, signed “Johnathon Gosselin,” read”: “No film crew or production company from TLC is permitted on this property under penelty of trespass.”

The word penalty was misspelled, as was Jon’s first name.

According to Kate, Jon’s main priority is himself.

“I’m saddened and confused by Jon’s public media statements. Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show and, in fact, is on the record as saying he believes the show benefits our children and was taping on Friday with the kids,” Kate said in a statement released to PEOPLE on Thursday. “I check in regularly with each of the kids to be sure they want to participate in and continue with the show and will continue to do so. I do the show for my family because I believe it provides us opportunities we wouldn’t otherwise have. Jon used to share that belief until as recently as the day the network announced the name change of the show and indicated that Jon would have a lesser role in the show.”

She continued, “It appears that Jon’s priority is Jon and his interests. My priority remains our children and their well being.”

Jon if you really want to have a relationship with Kate why did you lock her out of the home when she came by that nihgt? You knew she was coming and you knew why she was coming. She was coming because she was told the usual baby sitter could not make it and you were bringing in another baby sitter and apparently was not going to be there. Jon, any decent mother would do that. She was away from the house for one reason and one reason alone – so as to facilitate you in being with the kids. When that seemed to be changed she offered to come by – and you did not tell her then not to come. If you really wanted to have a relationship with Kate you would not have locked her out. You would have respected her as the mother of your children and let her in and then discuss with her that all is well and that you would be happy to be there alone with the kids. If she then refuse to leave maybe then you would have had to have the cops take her away – but at least you would have done things in a civilized manner and you would have shown respect for her. That would have been the best way to initiate a good relationship with her. But of course, you had your own agenda and that is why you were so nasty to her. Jon, you do dirty things and then you go publicly and claim you are sorry. Would it not have been better for you to have called her and say you are sorry?? Grow up!!!!!

jon seems to be a chronic liar. He said on Larry King that he did not know filming was going on on Friday. Yet, as per TLC he was part of the filming last Friday. He claimed his daughter called him and told him that filming was going on. Jon seems to have the capacity to anything and then just deny it. He seems not to have any self-respect. Jon the world can see through you.
