RadarOnline.com has learned that the soon-to-be divorced mother of eight — a native of Pennsylvania — is buying a condo in the upscale Washington suburb of Rockville, Maryland.

Kate’s new bachelorette pad is located in secure building where rents for one and two-bedrooms range between $1,600 – $2,400. The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star will be just a block away from bodyguard Steve Neild’s office as well as popular local shopping destination The Rockville Towne Center.

Last month, Kate’s estranged hubby, Jon, purchased a two-bedroom condo in The Alexandria Building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
