Kardashian Robberies: Was the First Family of Reality TV Targeted by Thieves?
Forget Keeping Up with the Kardashians. This is a storyline ripped straight from the script of The Bling Ring.
Police in Los Angeles County are investigating a pair of thefts at the homes of socialite sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian. Investigators are trying to determine whether the disappearance of $50,000 from Kourtney’s Calabasas home last month could be linked to a recent robbery involving her sister Khloe; who discovered $250,000 worth of watches and gold chains missing from a Tarzana home she once shared with estranged husband Lamar Odom.
Where’s that Sherlock Holmes when you need him?
According to TMZ, Kourt’s cash — the proceeds of an appearance gig — was left in a “safe place.” The 34-year-old mother of two was shocked to discover the money missing when she returned to deposit into her checking account a few days later. Khloe only discovered she’d been robbed on Monday — after she and momager Kris Jenner arrived at her one-time estate to clear it out for its new owners; Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco.
Now Kourtney and Khloe, 29, believe heists could be an inside job. Khloe’s convinced the thief is someone who had easy entrance in to her home and wants everyone from assistants to professional movers to undergo lie detector tests have their fingerprints taken.
Lie detector tests? Well, maybe this is more Maury than The Bling Ring.
