Kara DioGuardi Hopes Paula “Reconsiders” Leaving “American Idol”
Paula Abdul’s sudden departure from American Idol this week has left her fellow judges, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson, shocked. Kara, at least, is hoping Paula will “reconsider” to the hit reality talent competition.
“I can’t get over it. Completely shocked,” Kara said during an interview on KIIS FM’s On-Air with Ryan Seacrest on Friday. “It’s such a loss for the show, such a loss for the contestants.”
She added, “She’s definitely the heart of the panel and the kind of heart she treats the contestants with she treated me with last year during the auditions. She was so kind to me and made me feel immediately like I was part of the panel. And I hoping she’ll reconsider.”
“The way I’m understanding, it was her choice to leave,” Kara told Ryan. “How could you ever replace [her]? She’s an incredible talent. She is somebody who helped to make the show as big as it is. And how could you ever replace that?”

I love Paula and I think she is fantastic. Her comments don't always make sense on the show but it won't be the same without her.

Don't we all know that Paula's departure was the result of an inequitable salary structure on the Idol.
I wonder why (after learning what Simon and Ryan are going to earn on the show) Paula's salary couldn't have been increased more than it was.
The difference between the salaries on that show is shameful to me. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see a similiar situation with the other panelists before long.
Just figures – but, It's like paying someone $10 and two others $80 an hour and $200 an hour to do the same job. I do think that Simon and Ryan should have been paid more than Paula – but give me a break!!!!!
