Kanye West Taylor Swift VMAs Outburst Apology

Kanye West has offered an apology for the tacky and classless tomfoolery he pulled at Sunday night’s 2009 Video Music Awards.

Taylor Swift picked up her first Moonman for Best Female Video for “You Belong To Me” at Sunday night’s ceremony but didn’t have the chance to finish her acceptance speech, thanks to the Grammy-winning egomaniac, who took the stage to interrupt her and praise pal Beyonce, who was nominated for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).”

“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’m [going to] let you finish — but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” Kanye said to hearty booing from the crowd.

Kanye — who was asked to leave the awards show by MTV after his outburst — issued an apology on his blog late Sunday.

“I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom,” he wrote on his blog. “I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!”

However, Kanye stand by his thoughts on Beyonce’s video.

“Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade!!!!… Everybody wanna boooo me but I’m a fan of real pop culture!!! …I’m still happy for Taylor!!!!” he added. “I’m not crazy yall, I’m just real. Sorry for that!!! I feel really bad for Taylor and I’m sincerely sorry!!!”
