Kanye West Slightly Interrupts Beck During Grammys

Kanye West wasn’t kidding when he rushed on the stage at the 2015 Grammys Sunday night after Beck won against Beyonce for album of the year. Everyone seemed to have assumed that he had been joking, especially since Kanye had been grinning on the stage and had promptly returned to his seat. He has done raced on stage once before in protest to Taylor Swift’s win at the 2009 VMAs.

Although this time Kanye was able to have more restrain by stopping himself from saying anything onstage, he was unable to show the same restraint during E!’s after show. During his interview with his wife Kim Kardashian by his side, the outspoken singer chastised the Grammys claiming that he thought Beyonce should have won the golden gramophone everyone else in the category including Beck.

His statements:

“I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us,” “We ain’t gonna play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should’ve given his award to Beyonce” ( According to E!).

Apparently he went on to say even more, saying he was “tired” of the Grammys “diminishing” art and not giving the credit to those who is due credit. “What happens is, when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration,” he said. “And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyonce album and they feel like it takes them to another place.
