When we hear the name Kanye, we think of the egotistic rapper who thinks he’s God’s gift to the world. He lays down some sick tracks few and far between these days, making us forget that he is very talented and he can be deep with his lyrics.
Kanye West did just that in his new song called ‘Only One’, written from the perspective of his departed mother, Donda West. In the very touching song, Donda gently implores Kanye to remind her granddaughter, North West, to remember her grandmother, while simultaneously telling Kanye to keep his chin up.
The legendary Sir Paul McCartney lends his talents to the song, a strange collabo I know, by co-producing the track and playing the organ in the background.
While the autotune, does seem too much at times, the song sounds straight out of a 1970s sitcom.
Take a listen and tell us what you think.
