“They tried to make him go to rehab, he said ‘No, No, No….’”

Yeezy’s getting the help he needzy. After downing a bottle of Hennessy cognac and storming the stage at last weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards, Star Magazine claims hip-hop juggernaut Kanye West has hired a counselor and is considering checking into rehab for alcohol addiction once his Fame Kills Tour, featuring pop sensation Lady Gaga, wraps up in January.

According to those closest to him, Kanye has been using alcohol as a security blanket since his mother’s passing. Donda West died in November 2007, one day after getting a tummy tuck and breast reduction surgery for an unlicensed doctor.

“His drinking is getting worse — and when he has too much, he can be mean and obnoxious,” a friend reveals in the Oct. 5 issue of Star. “If he doesn’t get help soon, things could really spiral out of control.”

Although Kanye, 32, publicly — and privately– apologized for humiliating country cutie Taylor Swift as she delivered her first VMA acceptance speech, sources close to the “Jesus Walks” star says he was in such a drunken stupor that he doesn’t even remember the now infamous stage-storm.

“Kanye’s afraid to go to rehab, but he knows he needs help and is taking steps in the right direction.”
