Socialite Kim Kardashian and her rapper beau Kanye West are reportedly “over the moon” after learning that they’re expecting baby girl.

A Kardashian camp squeal revealed the baby’s gender to Us magazine on Saturday, saying:

“They’re over the moon! Kanye always wanted a girl.”

The couple, who began dating in April 2012, announced the pregnancy during a live show in Atlantic City last December.The child is the first for West, 35, and 32-year-old Kardashian — who is still married to her estranged husband, pro basketball player Kris Humphries. Kardashian filed for divorce in October 2011, 72 days after tying the knot with Humphries. The exes will face off at a trial set for May.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star previously refused to say whether she would prefer to have a boy or a girl, insisting she only wanted a “healthy” baby. We hear Kim plans to call her first daughter Kate, after fellow style icon the Duchess of Cambridge.

“She loves Kate and considers her own family ‘American royalty.’ The fact that she and Kate are due around the same time has her even more excited.”

The Kimye tot is due in July.
